According to preliminary data released by the Turkish Statistical Institute ( TUIK ), Turkey ‘s rebar exports reached 185,661 metric tons in March this year , an increase of 289.7 percent compared to February and 35.6 percent compared to the same period last year .
The value of these exports reached $ 107.84 million in March , representing an increase of 293.1 percent over the previous month and 27.4 percent over the previous year .
In the period from January to March 2025, Turkish rebar exports reached 288,617 tons , representing a decrease of 17.1 % compared to the same period last year . The value of these exports also decreased by 26.4 % to $ 167.41 million .
Top destinations for Turkish rebar exports in the first quarter of 2025:
- Romania : 124,817 tons (9.6 % increase over last year )
- Bulgaria: 24,223 tons (16.4% decrease)
- Italy: 18,768 tons (up 16.0%)
- Libya: 15,665 tons (new)
- Australia: 12,796 tons (down 31.4%)
- Spain: 11,545 tons (49.1% decrease)
- Haiti: 7,891 tons (70.5% increase)
- United Arab Emirates : 7,027 tons (new)
- Estonia: 6,896 tons (new)
- Bosnia and Herzegovina: 5,932 tons (72.4% decrease)
